I do hear what you mean with about installations difficulties. I'll try to help! I had this rack for a while and loved it. I'd recommend TRP Spyre or HY/DR for road bike. It's a pricey solution but that's what I'd do. Nashbar sells carbon fork 1 1/8", and it has eyelet and disc brake tab. The solution that would definitely work is to replace the front fork with eyelet. might work but as I said, I think the fork is carbon fiber, and I'd definitely hesitate to use these. They have a variety of ways to attach a rack to the axle. If it where aluminum or steel, you can use p-clamp to secure the legs to fork. I think the fork is cabron so I wouldn't recommend using p-clamps. They are designed for fenders and not for rack so it's probably not robust for heavy weight but should be fine for lighter load. In other word, your fork doesn't have eyelets so in order to secure the legs to the fork, you need some sort of adapter. You can try using the Axiom Axle Runner, or PDW's Eyelets for Full Metal Fenders. /r/BikeCammers – Share videos of your riding here (h/t /u/TheReelStig)./r/BikeCommutingNYC/ – For New York City-specific commuting./r/BicycleGear wiki – Recommendations for equipment & accessories./r/whichbike – Find the perfect bike for you with help from the Reddit cycling community!.Bike Light Database with reviews and other info.In-Depth Comparative Review of hybrid bikes here.
